Calivon is built to respect your privacy. We collect no personal data and require no account.

This Privacy Policy describes how Calivon ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our website at calivon.com (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the Service works.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The Service runs entirely in your browser. Specifically:

  • We do not track your location.
  • We do not record what you measure or how you use the ruler.

2. Local Storage

The Service stores a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage to remember your preferences between visits. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. It includes:

  • Your preferred unit (cm/mm or inches)
  • Your screen calibration value (PPI)
  • Your preferred color theme (light or dark)

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or localStorage for calivon.com.

3. Usage Data and Server Logs

Our web hosting provider may collect standard server log data, including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This is standard practice for web hosting and is used solely for security and diagnostic purposes. We do not analyze this data to identify individuals.

4. Third-Party Services

We use one third-party service:

  • Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, session duration, general location by country). This service sets cookies (_ga, _gid) in your browser and sends usage data to Google. We do not use advertising networks, social media pixels, or third-party analytics scripts.

5. Cookies

We do not set any first-party cookies. However, Google Analytics sets the following cookies in your browser: _ga (expires 2 years) and _gid (expires 24 hours). These are used to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Our service does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
